We sat down with Joshua Emge, Logistics Account Executive, to understand what keeps him moving each day while working at Dynamo Freight.
Where did you go to school, and what did you study?
I attended Shippensburg University, where I majored in History.
How did you first hear about Dynamo?
My older brother went to college with Dan Wheeler, and through him, I was introduced to both Dan and Dynamo Freight. As I learned more about the company and its mission, I became increasingly excited about the opportunity to get started here.
How did you become interested in going into the logistics industry?
I’ve always had a strong interest in business, which was inspired by growing up with my dad and older brother, both of whom worked in sales. As I explored what Dynamo Freight had to offer, I realized it was the perfect blend of my interests in business and sales—a best-of-both-worlds opportunity for me.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I love the challenge of solving problems, especially when I finally get a tricky load covered after working on it all day. The sense of accomplishment is incredibly rewarding.
What keeps you at Dynamo?
It’s the people I work with every day and the bright future I see for myself here. The supportive environment and the opportunities for growth make it an easy choice to stay.
If you could go back in time and tell yourself one thing about your job search, what would it be?
I’d tell myself not to stress so much. Everything has a way of working out in the end.
For someone about to start a career in sales and logistics, what would you tell them?
This industry is all about numbers—you get out of it what you put in. Consistency and effort are the keys to success, so stay focused and keep pushing forward.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they’d be surprised to find out?
I have an identical twin!
How would you describe the company culture at Dynamo Freight?
It’s the perfect balance of professionalism and a family-like atmosphere. We’re a group of people who share the same goals and genuinely enjoy working together.
What is the most memorable change that has happened at Dynamo Freight during your time with the company?
One of the most exciting changes has been watching our team grow. We’ve been fortunate to hire so many incredible people during my time here, and it’s been great to see so many new faces join the company.
