At Dynamo Freight, our team is made up of talented individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds from around the country. We sat down with Morgan, the Marketing & Recruiting Coordinator, to learn more about how her background led to beginning her career at Dynamo and what got her started in the industry.
Where did you go to school and what did you study?
I went to school at West Liberty University close to my hometown, and I studied Marketing! I really enjoyed being at a smaller university, and it prepared me to be successful at a start up company!
What experiences led you to start your career in logistics?
From a young age, I have been engrossed in the logistics world. My mom has 20+ years’ experience in the field, and I unexpectedly followed in her footsteps! After job hunting for a few months, Dynamo Freight was the perfect opportunity for me.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part about this job is learning something new every day. I have an awesome boss who continues to teach me new marketing skills, technology skills, and anything you can think of when it comes to creativity!
How would you describe the company culture at Dynamo Freight?
The company culture at Dynamo Freight is focused a lot on teams! It is extremely welcoming, and all employees have a willingness to learn and teach.
What keeps you at Dynamo Freight?
What keeps me at Dynamo Freight are the opportunities for growth. I started out in the operations department, which allowed me to get a good education on the logistics industry. Then, I was considered for the Marketing and Recruiting Coordinator position, I couldn’t have been more excited.
What is the most memorable change that has happened at Dynamo Freight in your time with the company?
The most memorable change that happened at Dynamo Freight has been the changes in our office! Since I started, we have knocked down walls, created new teams, and added an eat in kitchen!
For someone about to start a career in logistics and sales, what would you tell them?
I would tell them to keep an open mind! The logistics industry is forever changing, and it is beneficial to have an innovative mindset. There is truly a place for everyone in this field.
