We sat down with Austin Rosenberry, Logistics Account Executive, to understand what keeps him moving each day while working at Dynamo Freight.
Where did you go to school and what did you study?
I attended Shippensburg University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Microbiology and Coaching.
How did you first hear about Dynamo?
One of the operations managers actually told me about the company! I was eager to apply to the role when I saw one available.
How did you become interested in going into the logistics industry?
I was really looking for a career in sales, the logistics industry provided me with ample opportunity for such a role – I was excited to get in with Dynamo and grow within the company.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I really enjoy the customer aspect of working here, I find it rewarding talking to people and building relationships. My favorite part of the job would have to be working with the team to ensure customer satisfaction during the transportation process!
What keeps you at Dynamo?
With a minor in coaching, you can assume that I’m big on working with teams – what keeps me at Dynamo is the team that I get to work with. My co-workers are some of the best people I’ve ever met!
If you could go back in time and tell yourself one thing about your job search, what would it be?
There are no limits! Don’t be afraid to take a chance in life.
For someone about to start a career in sales and logistics, what would you tell them?
Have initiative and strike while the iron is hot!
What experiences led you to start your career in logistics?
I have very good communication skills and I work well with others. If I find myself in a stressful situation, I am very proficient in finding ways to de-escalate the problem before it gets worse.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out?
I played and coached football in Australia for a year!
How would you describe the company culture at Dynamo Freight?
The company is very team oriented, when one wins, the entire team wins!
What is the most memorable change that has happened at Dynamo Freight in your time with the company?
The smooth transition from the classroom training to the floor. I thought it would take me a while to adapt to the office culture, but everything seemed to ‘click’ once I jumped into the action.
