At Dynamo Freight, our team is made up of talented individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds from around the country. We sat down with Shani, a Logistics Coordinator, to learn more about how her background led to beginning her career at Dynamo and what got her started in the industry.
I came across Dynamo Freight while browsing the internet for a logistics company to work for. I discovered an exciting opportunity on Indeed and decided to apply.
I didn’t have a lot of experience in logistics other than delivering for FedEx, but I had a lot of experience in leadership and communication in previous jobs. These skills are very beneficial in logistics when talking with customers, drivers, and carriers.
My favorite part about the job is communicating with the drivers and dispatchers; having that rapport with others and learning their experience is so intriguing. My favorite part about Dynamo is the comradery and the way everyone works so well together.
The culture here is easily described as laid back but determined. The teams at Dynamo work together on everything, and everyone is willing to step up when others need help.
I was welcomed with open arms at Dynamo Freight as someone who didn’t have much Logistical experience, and I am continuing to learn things every day. I have made very close friends, and even feel as though some coworkers have become family!
The most memorable thing that has happened thus far with Dynamo Freight has been the opportunity to learn the sales aspect of the industry and being able to be a part of bids. Also, being able to do things as a company such as The MS walk in support of our co-worker and our team bonding outings.
For someone who is about to start a career in sales and logistics, I would tell them to take in everything you possibly can, listen, ask questions, communicate everything, and build relationships with others.
